As part of an assignment in PIDP 3100 - Fundamentals of Adult Education, I set up an account with Podomatic and recorded my first ever podcast! This was exciting for me, because in a past life, I was involved with recording music and even had a minimalistic home studio at one point. There's nothing like the thrill of pressing 'Record' with a microphone in hand.
For my topic I chose an article on EducationalTechnology.net titled Cognitive Load Theory: Principles, Learning Processes, and Implications for Instructional Design - Educational Technology by Dr. Serhat Kurt.
The article goes over the definition of Cognitive Load Theory as well as some of the mechanics of how information is processed in the human bran and committed to memory. I thought it was pretty interesting, and it seemed relatable to the course materials I'm currently studying.
